Why Geneva? No, it isn't because all the resourceful Swiss bankers are suddenly in love with cheap, Korean cars. It's just Kia's way to remind Honda that they are abandoning the European mid size market, after many decades.
That's right, Honda will kill the European version of the Accord(killing our chances of getting a wagon), because bean counters run the company now, and car guys like CEO Takanobu Ito, are stuck in the airbag recall shit storm.

Did anybody actually buy the Accord in Europe?
I suppose not if they're scrapping it.

That's not the point. If end up building only small cars and crossovers, you become Mitsubishi, and that's not a good position for anyone.

Gotta hand it to Kia - that looks nice.
Looks like a Honda Accord and Jag XE had a baby...

They will still be selling bigger cars elsewhere though, it's not as if they rely on one market (which is just as well in Honda's case, given their European sales).

They will sell bigger cars here, but with the Accord being dead in Europe, we won't get a rebadged Acura wagon, like we did for the last few years.
